Am I at risk of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) ?

Autonomic dysreflexia can occur in individuals with a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) at or above T6 and is a condition that SCI individuals can experience in response to pain or discomfort below their level of injury. If left untreated, it can become a potentially life-threatening medical condition and therefore, it is advisable that at risk individuals and SCI carers are familiar with signs and symptoms and know what to do should an episode occur.
